    I have no problems and no complaints whatsoever pulling a #5,400 Walkaround or a #6,000 tandem axle horse trailer. Rated to #11,700 as configured Beats the $rap out of the Chevy V8 it replaced.

    Typical Goggle U "quality" instructions....lets seal the connection without cleaning the acid (flux) from the wires.......big no, no. Immediate failure of soldering test administered prior to hire.

    It’s all about distributing the weight across the largest possible area to keep concentrated loads on the hull to a min I would not allow my boat to rest on strake. That’s just asking for problems

    You do not use automotive style battery clamps on a boat for a number of reasons. While we are at it, what is with all the cables connected to the battery?     If your positive you have ground, then obviously you have an issue with the sender wire. Put a meter on the gauge and see if you get a resistance change at sender
