    What are you calling a “continuity” test? How did you determine that there was an AC component in the output? Have you tested the stator to see if it’s not the root cause of the problem?

    Most I’ve run have either red or blue gauge (panel) lighting that comes on with nav lights. Overhead lighting is selectable between white and colored Mine….gauge lighting is red. Overhead helm lighting is a separate, three way push button….White, Red and Off

    The icon is relative to the GPS sensor. Typically, but not necessarily the bow. In case you have not figured it out, you can change the way the display orients itself. You have your choice of "North up" or "Track up" I use "North up" to stop the display from spinning excessively.

    Classic "weak" battery symptoms. How old and what size are your batteries? Unless you have a large parasitic drain, I'm betting the battery has a dead or dying cell and you need new battery

    “Tight” doesn’t mean a thing to a vacuum side leak. How does water get inside a carb from the cooling system? It doesn’t If indeed it is water, you have water in your fuel tank or filter/seperator. Collect the “foam” in a jar and let it settle out.
