ECM for 1999 Mercruiser MCM 5.0L EFI / 305 CID

At the base there should be a clamp with one bolt going into the intake. Clamp resembles a Y If it's not there then need to get one. Can obtain from most auto parts store or a junk yard. To time need a timing light (might be able to get a loaner from parts store). If you don't feel up to it...

Maybe my turn for new boat time

Had the boat a month and took it for a ride today. Love the handling and power, not so much the docking, amount of helm turns and touchy digital throttle controls. I'll get use to the a steering and throttle control, will take longer for docking. Docking - use to single B3 and the B3 bites...

1990 4.3 block and 1995 heads, which rocker tightening specs to follow?

Been thinking about this and zero lash would not be the way to go "IF" your not using lock nuts. What about finding out the push rod length of the original and a vortec? Might be worth the change to go with rods and rockers and not worry about it. Keep same lifters

    Boating Trim - electrical problem

The limit switch probably needs replaced or just bypass it. If it's bypassed then the trim button will bring it full up same as trailer button. Not at my computer or I would post a wiring Pic. There is a purple/white and blue/white wires that go to limit switch. If these are connected together...

What motor do you have? If it's a Mercruiser then most likely the trim limit switch on the port side of the gimbal ring

1990 4.3 block and 1995 heads, which rocker tightening specs to follow?

I have to agree, unless the push rods and rockers are changed they will be different length from the vortec IMO

Inboard Drive Shaft Issue I need Help!

Don't think it's the drive or the shaft, it's the coupling alignment. IB need to be aligned to within .003 MAX Many folks that do alignments don't do it correctly

Low fuel pressure, fuel filter half full while idling.

WADR - Motor mount doesn't need to be removed. The bracket that holds CF module is held on by 2 motor mount bolt studs. The nuts and washers are removed which releases the bracket that holds CF module.

Low fuel pressure, fuel filter half full while idling.

Either need to find a skinny person or stuff has to be removed. It's a B***h but it's also a boat. Suggest start by removing the exhaust manifold. After removing clamps and pipes, remove the outer most bolts holding the manifold. Take bolt to hardware store and get about 18 inches of all...

REPLACING SERPENTINE BELT ON VOLVO PENTA 5.7 GI - 300 - J (WITH AUTO TENSIONER)

Would be easier to post pic of your tensioner. There are a few different ones, and they either need a square drive extension or a wrench to release tension

    Mercruiser outdrive gasket

One of the 2 surfaces is not flat, must have a very slight tapper. Look at this thread by @Rick Stephens and how he does his https://forums.iboats.com/threads/bellhousing-gasket-squeezing-out.670419/
