    I don't know your motor, so this is just info For the alarm to sound it needs 12V (purple) on one side and ground on the other. The ground side goes to a sensor which will ground when (for example) the motor overheats. The alarm should have 12V applied when key is ON which sounds like it is...

    Start by verifying spark, use a spark tester to verify length and color Is the gas old? Use a gas can and fresh gas and a piece of gas line into the can. Try to get all old gas out of filter and carb. Smell the gas and does it small like gas or something else?

    When cold my mechanical gauge (open cool, attached to block drain port) showed at around 7 psi cold. Thermostat opened and would see 4 to 5 psi. Cruising (3600 to 3800 RPM) would see around 25 to 30 and on end of year 2 on impeller would see 20 - 25 at cruise

    Don't know for sure but I would Connect a garden hose to lower side. Turn water ON but at low flow. The check balls should restrict the flow a good amount

    I had a deck drain that came out under the swim deck and ran the cable from the Dept/Temp sensor thru the drain. Tie-wrapped the sensor to the trim tab.

    Then looks like the original bushings are probably just as good as the new ones. Its all up to the seals.
