    Time to do some diagnostics Either lifter is bad or not getting oil (plugged lifter bore oil passage) Roller motor or flat tappet? If roller, swapping lifter is easy. If flat tappet, you can replace the lifter, and go thru a cam/lifter break in 2 out of 3 times, you are good to go. However...

    Factory carb from OMC was 715 CFM. OMC part number 0986079 (Holley 9029) The motors responded better with 850cfm. With only a 600 CFM carb, pull the spark arrestor and drop the prop down in pitch to get you out of the hole.
