    On an E-tec the oil is NOT mixed with the gasoline.-----And I believe other direct injection 2 stokes do NOT mix oil with the gasoline.

    Those 6 HP are one the best / simples most reliable they ever made.----One weakness is the bearing surface on the driveshaft / bushing above the pinion gear.-----Make sure you use the proper oil.

    What do you mean by " discolored " on rods?-----I do not see an issue with rods at all.---Explain " adhesive wear "----Never heard the term before.----Scored pistons ?-----That might be the issue.----Remove the pistons and post pictures.

    There is an oil return line from bottom of engine to the top.-----Have you check reed valve plate and gaskets?

    Nothing wrong with a little extra oil for a hard working 2 stroke.-----You will get more hours out of it.

    Trouble shooting starts with a compression test.----Post your numbers.----Then check for spark on both leads.-----Check flywheel key.----Float in carburetor could have a crack and have fuel in it.----You did put a new water pump impeller in it when you bought it I hope.
