    its called fire-sloting its what happens when you run it with a bad head gasket for a bit. I have in a pinch, welded up the fire-slot, dress the welds and run the motor. usually the head will crack in about 3 months. if the slot is not too deep, you can surface the motor deck and get new heads.

    dont over-think it. apply VHB to back of letters trim with x-acto knife use painters tape as guide to get in correct location peal backing, stick in place, press with hand the initial grip will hold in place. by the next day, you need a knife to remove.

    from the look of the rusty exhaust ports, you have a leaking exhaust have the head checked at your local machine shop acetone test the exhaust (it may be cracked) drain the oil as you have water in the oil.
