    There is a 12 volt power supply ( fused ) that goes to the ignition switch.-----Comes off the solenoid.----What manual does the wirinh diagram come from ??

    Driveshaft might rotate at 5000 RPM.----Propshafts rotate at half that.-----I have looked at many seals on 30 year old motors.-----Seal lips are half worn.----They must be replaced !

    The magneto on the 1976 model 25 might be different than what is shown in the video above.-----The rear set ( starboard side ) points might open to fire the top cylinder via the other set of points.----Both set of points must be absolutely clean.

    ??-----Remove lower unit.----Drain oil.----Hurry to your local friendly boat shop.----Have gearcase pressure tested.----Find the leak.----Replace bad seals if leak is found.

    Needs a new steering cable.-----Hurry see a dealer and see if original cable is available.-----But do a complete evaluation pf this boat / motor before spending any beer tokens for parts.----Carefullly inspect wiring insulation on the motor and in the throttle / shift control box.

    You can guess about the carburetors all day long.-----Post the compression values.----Check for strong spark on all leads.----Get the motor in the normal running position and test run.-----Or put it on a boat and launch to get a better idea.----They run different with back pressure.
