    There are several styles out there just need to find measurements to fit, or fabracate a trim ring to install smaller. Your look like mine and appear about the same size. For me they can only be used during docking so not used very often. Think turned mine on once 2 years ago

    Using a auto pump is a safety hazard and not allowed by USCG regulations. The marine type has a double diaphragm and a fitting which will feed gas up to the flame arrestor into the carb. There is no other difference between auto and marine otherwise. Could be used for testing but needs to be...

    Thanks There is most likely a break in the splice. Can run a jumper from the + side of the coil to the ALT Power is going thru the cannon plug

    Yes, it should have power when key is ON Same supply as to the coil Is this a MPI or carb, serial numbers are best

    For the B3 the Mechanic is correct, so long as the bearing retainer nut is not moved. The retainer nut on the B3 is where the shimming takes place, the carrier just holds the seals That said shims don't need to be changed so long as backlash is correct Also it left hand threads

    The ALT has 2 wires (not counting the black ground) Red/Purple which comes from the 50 amp breaker (constant power) Purple which comes from the ignition switch (switched power)

    If the boat is proped right it shouldn't over rev. If the prop comes out of the water jumping waves can take out a drive even with a rev limiter

    Setting timing even on the water under load by ear can be catastrophic. Motor set to run its best with timing to far advanced which can put it where preignition starts. Most likely there is other issues besides timing
