350 Mag MPI intermittent rough running.

Might be, the EFI harness has small ground wires which usually connect near the ECM. Connect a fuel pressure gage to rail and a voltmeter on the DLC connector

350 Mag MPI intermittent rough running.

What's your serial number? Re-check the throttle cable Remove it and then see if the throttle body will go further closed. Also when throttle body is full closed, does the cable just slide on? It should actually have a slight pressure to help keep it closed Is there any play in the cable?

    Hand Gun Safe

Looking for a hand gun safe for one of my kids (keep G-kids away). I have a Amsec with mechanical lock, which might have spent $100 for a long time ago. My guess was probably less. Just looked at the same type from Amsec and holly cow "Bat Man" it s $340 for same size. What ya'll seeing?

No beep at key turn after boat upgrade

Not an OB guy but would suggest contacting Mercury and ask them what manual is used. I believe its 90-899975 in the link below Being a 555ECM it should be the same as the Mercruiser with slight part differences. If you have a 10 pin connector the the wiring should be the same...

overtemp alarm - constant low "buzz"

I'm thinking it might be one of the switches is going bad. The GXI will have a oil temp sensor which the ECM uses and a oil pressure switch which is connected directly to the buzzer viz Tan/Blue wire. If the switch is going bad it may be ever so slightly be making a connection. Either that or...

No beep at key turn after boat upgrade

The buzzer is powered buy the purple wire directly to it. So when the key is ON it has full time 12V to one side. The other side is connected to the Tan/Blue wire which goes to the oil pressure switch and the Temp switch. When the motor is OFF the oil switch is closed and applies a ground to...

    winterizing question

Fogging a carb motor wouldn't cause an issue with the carb because the oil goes down the throat and not inside. All the oil is inside the intake and block Your motor (don't know which one) being a 2015 might be a MPI. If it is, then fogging is done differently. No oil should be sprayed...

    Second Happiest Day . . .

If the haul doesn't have a lot of long hills the gas won't be an issue. If you want a truck just to have around that will last with little maintenance, find a old Dodge with the 5.9 diesel. 500K miles is nothing to one of those.
