New to winterizing..is it possible to fill cylinders with antifreeze?

Should add, IF the exhaust has not issues with cracks, bad gaskets, prior water ingestion, there is no way pouring water/AF from the bottom hose, it will get into the cylinders. Also that said, AF is not necessary once water has been drained

New to winterizing..is it possible to fill cylinders with antifreeze?

The water exits before the exhaust. They meet further down There may be a drain plug on the power steering cooler but it should be behind and on top the rear of the motor. If the cooler is there, then it doesn't need to be drained because gravity drains it. The large hose on the recirculating...

Need help identifying weird oil plug

Pretty sure a dowel pin is used to seal it. Might even be laying in the bilge, or it fell thru and its in the pan Merc part number 17-35465 and might be able to find it at a local auto parts shop https://www.hardin-marine.com/p-50036-pin-dowel-2-mercruiser-17-35465.aspx

    Fuel pump fault

The comment about a different connector was that there are 12 different adapters and the adapter that comes with the SW or Techmate is chosen at time of purchase. Unknown if the shop had the right connector or not. There was also a SW update a few years ago and I have yet to get mine updated...

'84 Lund 3.0L IO engine runs, locks up, runs, locks up

VP manuals are on line but need to know the serial number. That said the special tools needed to rebuild will be costly. I spent over 700 just to rebuild the lower on my Bravo https://www.volvopenta.com/en-us/service-and-support/your-engine/manuals-and-handbooks/

'84 Lund 3.0L IO engine runs, locks up, runs, locks up

It will be VP 80w90 gear lube. Before even trying that, remove drive and have it looked at. For the most part in my opinion, the drive needs to be replaced ir full rebuild

    Fuel pump fault

My thoughts in a simplistic example There are 4 rooms, and only 3 light switch's and 3 lamps. Each light switch goes to one lamp, one in each of the 3 rooms. There is no light or switch in the 4th room. If someone says the 4th switch was flipped and turned on the light in the 4th room, what...

    Fuel pump fault

My thought is the scanner that was used (if it was used) may not have updated software. It does have a problem, just don't think its fuel pressure. I would think a water pressure sensor issue only because they fail quite often. Not saying replace it without knowing.

High Performance Gear Lube Color - Bravo 3

Think mine (1995 model) was around 20 years old when I first replaced my boots (still looked ok). Drive removed every year for inspection and drive maintenance. Gimbal and U joints are still original.

    Fuel pump fault

According to your serial number the motor doesn't have a fuel pressure sensor. Having a boat heavier causes it to burn more fuel, so may be in the fuel supply side, but just not pressure

Think your going to need a scanner and have it attached when it goes off again. If its something like low voltage then weird things can happen
