    Fuses?

Don't understand No power after the fuse box, then its inside the fuse box or the fuse

Pulling tubes from my ski eye.

Don't know what the 3 stands for, but the tow eye should have a backing plate behind it. Most all are built pretty good, just look at it

If sound changes as wheel is turned, the may be U joints. If it changes as rpm's increase then maybe bearing. Also check lube to see if lube remains clean

Mercruiser 3.0 stalls when putting into gear

Yes in most all cases. We don't know which 3.0 you have so not sure if its correct, needs at least a year but serial numbers are best

Mercruiser 3.0 stalls when putting into gear

Correct, open water The Alpha drive uses what's called a dog clutch. When in gear and under load (in the water) the forces on the prop keep the clutch from releasing. So what the interruptor switch does is cause the motor to stumble which unloads the clutch so it can be moved. It doesn't...

Trim limit not working on Alpha 1 Gen 2 after I cleaned connection

Most likely it needs to be adjusted. Place a ohm meter across the 2 leads and rotate it to see if the circuit opens at some point. Do remove from drive and rotate by hand

    Time for a ‘new’ boat?

On OSO most all of them say the same thing. Don't buy a boat with the idea of making it into what you want, just buy what you want

    no power to ignition

Check the 90 Amp fuse, it might have blown. Its on the starter post. If that is good, then check your 20 amp ignition fuse on the red/purple wire going to the key switch under the helm

Mercruiser 3.0 stalls when putting into gear

Might be the shift interruptor switch. Do this test in and open area in the water. Disconnect one of the wires at the shift switch, then see if the issue is fixed. Note: with the wire disconnected, you may not be able to get the drive into neutral. May have to turn motor off to get it back in...

Sound isn't clear enough for me. If its a growling it may be the bearing. Was the trim up high or all the way down?

No purple and white wire for base timing

I'm able to see the wires but not the module Your motor could have a TB4 or TB5 module. The TB4 is mounted on the exhaust elbow (think that is where yours is), and the TB5 is mounted on the Distributor Both TB4 and 5 have white/red and white/green The purple out of the module is turned ON by...

    1999 7.4 (L29) only hitting 3400RPM at WOT

Agree "base timing mode" Which searay is it (looking for weight and drive ratio)? Depending on the boat the 26 pitch props might be a bit to high. Props might have been changed, compression might be low

    Kills at midrange throttle settings

I messed up, had been looking at a VP issue and thought I was on the same thread We don't know if you have a 2 or 4bbl carb. If 4bbl then it should be a weber as Lou mentioned. If its a 2bbl then its a Merc (like the rochester 2GC) In any case the issue is most likely in the carb
