1993 5.7 Mercruiser Low Power and Stumble at WOT

While some needle seats can take pressures above 7, the normal high is 7 Can be easy to see if the seat isn't holding. Look down the carb when its running and right after shutting off to see if you can see it dripping Yes a regulator can be added

    Top Speed Issues

Nope, need to burn or remove all the fuel. Having to increase idle and then it gets lower again is signs deposits are probably building up. Old fuel has less BTU's so less power. Once you go thru the fuel then get new, and my guess things will get better. Try not to add new fuel to the old...

    Cobalt 232 swim platform repair

You could grind down to the glass and remove the edge and up the side. Lay glass in across the bottom and up the side. Smooth out and re-gel Running bolts thru to the top will help but then the foam core will need to be solid because the load will transfer to the top skin

    Fuses?

Everything had power, that's not right. On the motor side (assuming pulled connector apart 1 is ground 4 goes to switches that apply a ground to turn on the alarm (lube bottle, overheat, oil pressure) 5 wouldn't have power unless the key is turned ON or jumpered 8 is oil pressure sender

I second the "what do the plugs look like"? With 9 psi (if the gauge is accurate) just maybe the carb is flooding. Did mention, hard to start, low power, stumbling

    Cobalt 232 swim platform repair

It was a solid piece of glass with aluminum plate to spread out the load. The load is still spread out, but now most of the stress will be on the cut area. I'm thinking taking it down thin on both pieces a few inches on each side. Then lay in CSM tabbing from center to outward. Might even...

1993 5.7 Mercruiser Low Power and Stumble at WOT

I'm thinking lack of fuel issue So it can be fuel pump, carb settings, carb dirty, antisiphon valve might be sticking, dirty filter, fuel line restriction Put a fuel pressure gauge inline and see if it stays up between 4 to 7 psi If your running lean which it might be, it will destroy the motor

    Fuses?

Follow the red/purple wire from the starter, it will go on top the motor. Who knows maybe the prior owner may have removed it. https://www.amazon.com/50A-Marine-Circuit-Mercruiser-32V/dp/B00DP04ZNA/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=50+amp+marine+circuit+breaker&qid=1625776898&sr=8-2 Check for 12V...

    Fuses?

Ok then there is no power one either side of the fuse. The red/purple gets the power from the 50 amp breaker on the motor. Check both sides of it. If no power on the 50 amp breaker then its the 90amp fuse on the starter or broken/bad wire If you do have power on both sides of the breaker...
