    Grease would only help with assembly.----Water is the lubricant for an impeller.

    Of course it won't run with top signal firing the bottom coil.------It proves that BOTH coils are good.----I would say install a new powerpack.----Easy to do.

    Actually it is 2 coils in one part.----Switch the orange blue to bottom and orange green to the top.-----Test for spark with a test device.-----My wild guess is that the powerpack failed.

    On your 150 HP 2000 model do you tilt the motor up with fuel in the carburetors ?-----Could be leaky float valves.-----Do you see any fuel leaking from carburetors when you really squeeze the primer bulb?-----Hose from the vapor pump going into the airbox ?

    Roadrunner I have repaired many of these motors !!-----I have those factory timer fixtures or I use the flywheel itself for timing with a meter.-----These magnetos are very very simple to me.

    What fuel pump ?-----The VRO pump has wires going to it but that is only for an alarm .----Alarms for no oil flow.-----The VRO pump if it is still in service runs with PRESSURE pulses from the crankcase.----Are you pushing the key in while cranking it over for a cold start ??

    Smoke from the Alternator!

    Replace alternator.-----Make sure battery connections are correct.-----Electrical issues , perhaps leading to a fire will ruin your day.
