    Motors will run with lower compression.----They won't perform.-----A nascar racing team would never be a winner with a motor that has lower than new compression !!!

    Use a new 11" pitch.----A new prop is cheaper than gears and bearings.

    Check for strong spark when motor is hot.----Or have battery load tested.----Or pull starter apart and inspect brushes.---Do ohm check on armature.----No money spent so far.---Your choice.

    On most outboards there is / should be a gap between roller and cam.----Model # of your motor.

    The push / pull primer replaces choke flappers.----There should not be any visible leaks.

    Those are famous for fuel consumption.-----Invest in an extra fuel tank if you are using it on a regular basis.

    There is a switch on the motor.----It is on the shift linkages on the motor.----Not in the control box !----Look for and check this switch.----If it tells the ECU that motor is in neutral , the motor will not rev up in gear.---Limits RPM to about 3000 RPM.

    65hp evinrude no power

    Those carburetors are very simple.----Be an easy fix.----But no fuel in one carburetor means that motor was running with no fuel going into that cylinder and no oil.----Fix the carburetor now.

    Agreed ---Reed valves have nothing to do with compression in the cylinders.-----There is no head gasket.----So your issue is the fit of pistons / rings in the cylinder bores.---What was done in your " rebuild " ?----Boring and honing and new O/S pistons / rings.----Or something else ?

    They all have fuel pumps.----Some have the diaphragms on the side of both carburetors.
