    welcome aboard. just wire it like the picture. slave solenoid goes to the S terminal on the starter coil gets wired to the I/R terminal on the starter in parallel with the resistor wire.

    Start at the battery...... Pull apart and clean every connection from the battery to the key switch with 150 grit or a wire brush, then seal the connections with marine electrical varnish.

    GM did that for VP and Merc. the 6.2 merc runs 1.6:1 rockers as well. which gets in to seal to keeper interference...... but hey, they warranty it.
