    for the GM 3.0. the two choices are 1990 and older, or 1991 and newer. I would look for a mid 90's bayliner with a rotten hull and get the 91 and newer motor with a 92 and newer drive.

    because the average I/O is bought and sold within the warranty period. no incentive to add extra cost. if in salt water, block will last about 25 years, manifolds and elbow about 7-10 if in fresh water, block and manifolds will last until the hull rots or owner sinks the boat.

    Because you cant clean the shell side of a heat exchanger, so once the rust flakes indicated prior plug your new $2000-$3000 heat exchanger, you get to throw it away

    if the vinyl is still pliable, re-use it.. just re-sew you will know as soon as you start pulling staples as to the condition of the vinyl. however if that area is sun-baked, replace.

    if the motors run at all, its not the kill switch. the kill switch is after the key switch and is in the ignition line. with the lanyard in, the ignition line is intact. with the lanyard pulled, the ignition line is broken. therefore if the motors run at all, its not the key switch
