    This is a Gen VI 502 with serpentine belt. Getting to the seawater pump on the starboard side requires me to hang upside down for about an hour if all goes well. Wonder if anyone has ever tried to move the pump to the port side?

    No, the key (letter A) turns on the slave relay (letter C), and the slave relay turns on the starter solenoid (letter E)

    OK, I would go to the slave relay first. There are 2 large post on top and 2 small on the bottom. Jump across the 2 top ones and the starter should engage. When key is turned to start this is energized and then power goes to starter solenoid 89-96054T

    This is the classic IAC issue, will run above 1000 and will dies below it. The idle plate is set for a specific air gap and then the IAC takes care of the rest. Need to check for a vacuum leak, then test the IAC connections.

    Have you changed out the fuel filter? You should have TBI and will need an adapter to connect inline. Remove the fuel line at the TB and install it. 91-806901

    The wiring I'm finding for the OMC shows a 50 fuse, headed to the helm. Once there their is normally a 20 amp fuse which feeds the ignition. This is for a V8 but the basics should be the same
