    then you did not do a complete tune up. if your floats are saturated, they dont "float" so they cant shut off incoming fuel at a minimum you must check/set float height as part of pulling the carb apart.

    the water separating filter is a one-time use. you cant simply empty and replace.

    the anti siphon valve is the connection nipple on the top of the pickup tube.

    should not be any soft fuel line. there is the A1-15 fuel line from the tank to the filter and steel lines from the filter to the carb. you cant crush A1-15 without a vice.

    'kogs, you may have been clueless about sterndrives, however you were mechanically inclined. the OP stated they were noobs at boats and having little mechanical ability. there is a difference. I do agree the stringer is a great drive for simply puttering along at idle.

    its not your coil its almost never the coil and the fact that your engine is running proves its not the coil. what is your fuel pressure? how did you "check" the fuel filter? they are a one-time use filter
