    Those pumps are driven by PRESSURE and not vacuum.----Are those ports at the back actually open ?-----Do they look open to you ?-----Part # of the pumps you are installing ?

    I like older 2 stroke motors.-----They are simple , cheap and easy to repair.----They use more fuel but that matters not for the amount of boating I do.------But the general public buys / wants 4 strokes that start by looking at and pushing a button.

    Some will argue.----No " money spent "steps to take.----Are you pushing the key in during cranking for start-up ?----Post your starting procedure.----Post compression test values.----Take starter apart for inspection and ohm test on armature.----Load test the battery.

    Those are the pulse ports for the 2 pumps.----No idea why someone would connect them with a hose.-----The pulse limiter is a FLOW FUSE for the VRO mixing pump.-----The pulse limiter is NOT NEEDED for the regular pumps.----Do a compression test on this motor for future reference.----Post your...

    You will find the 2 ports near the starter motor.-----Look for 2 plugs.

    Well-----They " break " the outer race when it is new !!-----That is just about the only way you can install that bearing.----Take the bearing off and inspect it .

    I would fabricate a new one.-----1/4" stainless V with 3/8" stainless for 2 eyes.----I would not trust an aluminum one as it was made.------Less so a welded one.------Boat ( fiberglass ) that I am doing now has 2 stainless eyes.----Both anchored with composite material.-----Replaces the old one...

    I believe 5/8 turn out is the initial setting.----For a motor in good condition.----Then it needs to be fine tuned for actual conditions.

    What are you showing with picture #8 ?---Looks like cylinders need to be bored.----But what size are the cylinders now ?--Looks like you have replace center bearing locating dowel.( fairly easy ) in my opinion.

    Epoxy question.

    One solution is to use composite materials.------There are many choices to be found.-------Easy to search for on-line.----I am working on a project and there will be no wood in transom , floor , deck support and stringers.

    Sounds like the shift rod connecter is not properly assembled.----Notches have to be lined up with holes before screw is put in.

    What are the slow speed needles set at ?----A primer bulb on a hose does NOT need to stay hard after motor starts.---A very common mis-understanding on that simple item.
