Sure----But look at the gearcase parts !!!-----That is the 18 HP gearcase and 110% sure that is not a 7 1/2 HP gearcase.----A definite BLUNDER on that website !

Well---- if you had a clogged high speed jet there would be no gasoline and no oil going into one crankcase / cylinder !!----Gasoline does a lot of cooling when it evaporates too.-----It is up to you to do the trouble shooting !
Where do you see that a 15020 is a 7 1/2 HP ??----From the picture in post #1 it is clear that this is NOT a 7 1/2 HP motor.-----Just take a close look at that listing for a 1957 model 7 1/2 and you would clearly identify it as the 18 HP motor.-----Just another example of mistakes on that website.

That glass bowl is shown standard on 1961 model 18 HP.-----And I know it is used on many other models too.-----The powerhead on that 56 may have been replaced / modified.----The possibilities are endless.
Everybody works to different standards.----I would pop it back to normal.------Drill out rivets.----Every 1 of 4 or so.----Add a piece of aluminum angle fitted inside the hull.----Install new rivets to hold it all in place.-----Yes perhaps a lot of fine work and fitting.-----Just one way I would...
Looks like a 56.----But the model # tag is clearly visible on port transom bracket.--Post the numbers.----That separate glass bowl is fairly common as well.----Or an easy retro fit.
