    If the solenoid does not click when you PUSH THE KEY in it is not a neutral switch problem.----Check the fuse.

    Test the fuse.----You should hear the primer solenoid click ( item with red lever ) on the motor.----Turn key on and push in , do you hear that click ,yes or no?

    The problem is that it appears to have " bonding " issues.------You fix one spot and 6 months later you have the same cracks show up 1' away.

    Trying to determine if there was a large repair job done here.------What make of boat ?-----That delamination does not look normal to me.----Looks like very poor bonding in that location.

    In 1998 there were crossflows and loopers.----The TSL models are crossflows.-----1998 was the last year for crossflow.-----I have a 115 HP crossflow 25 " model myself.

    Get the authorized local dealer to print out service bulletins with regard to jetting for high elevation running.----Dealer did that for me.

    Adjust a wee bit at a time to increase friction so it will hold up.----And get this, maybe the friction block needs a smear of grease.
