    Transom Bolt hole size

Need to redrill the holes in my transom, anyone know what size the holes are. My 9/16 bit barely goes in on the two holes I won't be redrilling, but this is also wood. The studs are 7/16 so going to 1/2 would work and could redrill if needed "IF" I can manage to keep the drill in the center

Mercruiser 5.0 Running Hot at Idle Even After Many Component Change PLEASE HELP!!!!

The engine pump tries to move water into the block, if the thermostat is closed, most water moves to the exhaust. When thermostat opens more fresh water moves into engine. My guess is the circulating water pump should never reach 170, maybe 140 - 150

With the gimbal bearing area made smaller then 1.375, this should allow the bar to come out even easier. If the 1.150 front dimension is made to spec and has the forward chamfer, then I would start looking at the engine coupler. If the engine was out of alignment and sat for some time the...

    What are these parts called?

You don't need the gasket, your running on the water and don't have to worry about sucking in dirt. This is why you have a flame arrestor and not a air filter. Remove the silicone and put it together dry If the plug your talking about is item 8, it's just a plug 19-824928001

    Carb flooding after rebuild

It takes very little pressure to seal off fuel from coming in the bowl. If properly adjusted there should be no leakage unless there is a speck of dirt or something in the valve. The adjustment is made by bending the tang in the pic below.

    Wetting technic for 1708

Put on three layers today and all came out good. Started by coating the surface and waited for it to get tacky. Then laid 1708 and started soaking the layers with VE and a 4 inch roller. The layer went clear and smoothed it out. In about another hour that layer got tacky, so we laid another...
