    you wont loose any power and you wont burn more fuel. EFI does not do magic. you actually get a higher HP peak with a carb, however for the most part, the combustion mix (compression, cam, heads, valves, etc) determines the power and economy. your fuel consumption will remain at 0.4#/HP/hr...

    Back to the carb...... after a bath of engine cleaner, then a hot water/simple green/dawn dish soap bath, followed by a vinegar and water bath...... the parts are ready for paint. prior to masking after masking and now in the oven to bake for an hour

    Why I hate EFI and hyper-complex fuel systems the carbon canister decided to rupture and plug the fuel well up. with a full tank, I resorted to using a primer bulb to siphon/pump a whole tank of fuel those are carbon pellets

    wrong style heat exchanger. you need a shell and tube heat exchanger. what you have shown is ok if you have filtered water with filtered oil. however would plug up in a week on a boat.

    someone added the flapper from a mercruiser...... throw it away, it doesnt belong on your 271C, its not needed on the AQ series

    to get pontoons on blocks, one needs a scissor trailer. in the fall and the spring, a scissor trailer literally will print money. My bud puts in and takes out many boats on his lake with his trailer (along with docks and boat lifts). that is $100 each trip for a pontoon.

    you must follow the factory manual. setting valve lash on the stock ford head is exactly like setting valve lash on the early ford FE motors. with custom length push rods. the other option is to modify the head for adjustable rockers once you bend a push rod, its junk, it will re-bend

    you wont get anyone on this site to advocate to over-power not carrying insurance is reckless and stupid. The insurance isnt for you, its for the other folks involved in an incident so you dont loose everything .

    they are GM injectors, and GM only published the whole TBI unit. however there are specialty shops you can send the TBI unit to in order to get it serviced.
