    I think you need to summarize what exactly has been done to troubleshoot, and what exactly the symptoms are/where. especially since you supplied wrong information...(what is "a"? accessory on the key switch? irrelevant if so)

    so test the resistance across the terminals is the ignition switch and see if you're getting continuity between b and i/s when in run/start

    sorry, I misread it. so you do have 12v at the red/pur when cranking

    that red/purple is always live. it isn't a problem with the switch if you're losing power at that wire when cranking.

    As AD said, need to know what ignition you have. EST works different than the TB or points.

    There was one across the river from me, but looks like they closed. They were expensive anyway. Check out larger independent marinas/mechanics. All of them around me have scores of junk boats, and i've hit them up for random parts in the past.

    Why are you trying to remove it? If you do then you'll need disassembly. If you're just trying to replace the seal, then like BT says you "simply" unscrew it. Though I doubt it will unscrew without a fight.

    Yeah, sounds like it's flooding though certainly other possibilities. Does it happen if you have it sitting at a fast (~1500 rpm ) idle? If you look down the carb throat while idling, can you see fuel from the venturis?
