    Accessing live well hoses

I've found the screws with a metal detecting pin pointer. That was on a fiberglass boat so I don't know if it would work on a tinny.

    Lenco Trim tab troubleshooting

I believe those are the electric version. If so, I've seen/replaced enough of them that I personally don't like them.

Slip/moored boat what do you do with your trailer?

Why would you be removing the outdrive frequently? Years ago when I lived in Minneapolis, I noticed several boats without outdrives in the area. I inquired with one guy why they were like that? He said after every outing they had to remove the drive and store it inside as it wold get stolen.

    Loosing Faith in Humanity . . .

Shoot, I had an item I was selling on marketplace and a guy said he would take it. When he showed up on time I thought great! Then he said he would take it home and see if it would work for him, he would come back if he liked it and pay me. I told him to pay me and if he didn’t want it, bring it...

    rodent infestation

They make.22 shells with birdshot in them. A friend of mine lived right in town and used them for a major squirrel infestation. (He ate the squirrels too) ! Nobody ever complained about hearing gunshots.

    20volt drill

At the shop a guy dropped a 18 volt dewalt in the lake around 15 years ago. We flushed it out with that electrical spray stuff. It doesn’t get used daily but it still works, just still smells like it does when you have an electrical fire.

    3.0 mercruiser dieseling

Years ago when I was in tech school, we were showed that slowly pouring a half bottle of water into the carb while high idle, then shut down and let sit for half hour. Start back up and give it a rev or two and yeah, the exhaust spit out lots of black carbon. Steam cleaning!

Electric Steering for 2005 Volvo Penta?

This ^^, Seastar has been around for many years and is on large boats and small boats. I've seen very few that have had issues. A lot easier to install auto pilot if you decide to later also.

I know this will sound foolish, but hear me out please

I gave away two boats in the last two years. One a 1985 Sylvan, aluminum deep V. Other a 1984 Chapparral, Got tired of it. Don't worry I have a couple more so I'm still boating. Both recipients are very happy with them, and they are still local to my area. nice to see them on the water yet...

    Bildge pump removal

It's a mess trying to get out some of those pumps. I do what I can when servicing them. Once out I'll fabricate an aluminum flat bar stock to mount the pump on, slide it where it needs to be and attach the new bracket to the side of a stringer. Makes future serviceing much easier!

Snapped the dreaded Mercruiser transom Drive Lube Fitting....

Been there done that! You have to go by feel mostly. If you can get a camera that you can see the fitting without dropping the camera, like tie it off somewhere it’s sort of helpful. Not perfect but it slightly helps. I’ve dropped the clip more than once! They do make a brass fitting for that...
