    rodent infestation

Ya, I don’t see the damage till they get washed. Try crawling in a large boat where the batteries are behind the engines, big 8-d’s. Ugh.

That picture almost looks like battery acid got on it at some point. My blue jeans look just like that.

Ignition sparks as soon as starter stops cranking

As stated, if the battery is compromise, it takes a lot of the power away from the ignition. Had a motorcycle that would not start with the starter, but one kick on the foot starter it would fire right up. A proper battery solved the issue. And yes the ignition switch can cause that also, not...

    Marine Sea Foam

Guy I knew was at a musky tournament. Rained hard all weekend and flooded the lower campground. He stood on a picnic table and caught a big one. He won the bass boat!

Do you know if the tank is actually full?

    Gas guage

To ease your mind, put a meter on the tank feed wire and see if it has voltage, I bet not.

    Marine Sea Foam

Sea foam "might" work. Also, you have to add enough for the amount of fuel you have. A car is usually around 20 gallons. A boat may be much more, it wont hurt to try it but removing/rebuilding is the route I would go. Also anyone selling may say things to make you think it's better than it is...

    Epic launch

yamaha 3.0 l4 blew head gasket help!

I get the condensation up top at times. Good hard run takes care of it. On others I’ve worked on that got submerged we remove the oil, re-fill with cheap oil and a bit of sea foam. Run it a bit and drain/flush a few times with the seafoam. When it comes out clean we put the good oil in and take...

yamaha 3.0 l4 blew head gasket help!

I adapt the hose for my vacuum bleeder to fit the outside of the tube, mine fits tight to the tube so I don’t need to clamp it. The tube goes to the bottom of the pan on a mercruiser, I’m not sure on a yamaha but I would think it would. Warm oil works best for extraction.

Sqeeking sound from belt after impeller inspection

Often belts look fine but they are not. Also as mentioned the tensioner may be weak if it has one. Some had the adjuster on them.

Sqeeking sound from belt after impeller inspection

I would hope you have water running to the engine. How good id the battery? If it's weak the alternator is working hard and if the belt is loose it'll squeak.

yamaha 3.0 l4 blew head gasket help!

I get a bit of milky in mine, mostly when not running it hard enough on my 350 acre lake. If I take it out on lake Superior I can get her going wide open for a good half hour or more and cruise all day. The milky clears up well. On the smaller lake I do run it wide open on occasion but it gets...

    Hot water heater

Yes, I've winterized lots of them over time, and added that valve. But if the heater is bypassed, there should be no water in the tank, and you would not get any hot water at any faucet at all. Now if that lever is zip tied in one position, that leads me to believe there is something wrong in...
