    Your best bet is to find someone who has some experience and can help you with the rigging . Most sailors will be happy to share information.. The gel coat will buff out pretty well from what I see in your photo.. You'll need to get it off the trailer to re paint the swing keel.. Looks like fun!

    Fwiw I tend to agree with you that for wash down purposes the scoop should face the stern. For engine intake it would be forward..as your hanging it off the stern you probably could easily swap it if needed..

    I can't help ya much but I had an old 1980 model 350 that had the studs pressed into the head and it was bad about jacking the studs loose. I had to knock them back in and pin them..

    Sailboats frequently do, the chain plates that secure the standing rigging fasten to the bulkhead..if it's just a partition then no need..

    I like your idea but... always a but.. water passing through the out drive will be a bit warmer than the water in the pond...if accuracy is not needed it seems a great idea...

    I've not done it but a few here have. You need the kit for dimensions and assorted hardware. I'm not knowledgeable enough to say if it works on the MC..
