    I believe it's simply a raw water fitting that you connect a hose to, flip a switch and a pump pulls sea water from the thru hull fitting you saw on the hull when you back flushed it..

    I live on a well, the circuit for the pump may be using the steel pipe. The stainless feed line to galvanized may be the problem..?

    Yep blisters are the bane of many sailors who keep their boat in the water. A lot of folks Dremel them with a burr, let them dry for a few months and then fill them with epoxy filler and several coats of barrier paint.. but no guarantee they won't come back.. they probably will..

    I found that no seal can survive the exhaust heat when the water passage in the exhaust elbow is clogged.

    I lived there several years ago and it was no problem if you have a driver's license and bill of sale for the boat. May have changed since then though... You may want to wait until you know the outcome of the restoration, no point in paying for the registration until you know if it floats..

    The bondo will work fine and it fairs well but don't use it below the waterline. Been many old Corvettes patched up with it... FWIW..
