    a friend picked up a 8 h.p. 4-stroke that was used on a sailboat. has a wire connection on the cowling that has him puzzeled. it is on the left side of the motor looking at it from the front of the motor. any one know what it is?

    was planning to remove the vro system on my 50 hp evinrude. went to the dealer to buy the plugs and wire harness plug to do the job and was told that i had to install a new fuel pump.i read that you could use the vro pump as the fuel pump after you remove the oil line and plug it.can anyone...

    windshield molding

    just finished the interior on my ss and replaced the windshield. need a short piece of the black molding that covers up the screws on the windshield. anyone know where i can buy a short piece? (3-ft)

    convertible top storage boot

    have a 16ft. starcraft ss with a standard convertible top (no side curtains). can't seem to find a zippered cover available. only thing i could find are bimini cover boots. any one know of where i could buy one? thanks

    canvas for trailoring

    have a bowrider (16ft.starcraft ss) and want to have a canvas made for trailoring it. have a mooring cover, but had trouble in the past with trailoring with them. any sugestions would be welcomed.was thinking of a bow cover and one from the windshield back to the splashwell.

    teleflex rack steering adjustment

    installed a new system.placed the motor in the straight position with the cable end hooked to the motor and than bolted the rack to the pinion. motor steers more one way than the other. did i do something wrong?

    50 hp evinrude 2-stroke prop question

    have a 50 evinrude on a 16 ft. alum. starcraft s.s. how can i tell what the prop pitch is? is it marked on the inside? i just use the boat for fishing and pleasure. no skiing or tubing.

    evinrude 50 hp. vro

    would it hurt to run 50-1 oil mixture in my vro system once in a while? i have a 6 hp that runs a 50-1 mixture that is on the boat and don't want to carry a seperate tank.

    back to back lounge seats

    has anyone used veada brand boat seats? was going to change seats, (back to back lounge) and checked out the wise seats compared to the veada. the veada are a little more in price, but made here and uses p.t. plywood instead of plastic.they also look a little nicer.

    covering for a gunwale

    redoing my ss starcraft and was wondering what kind of material to use? it is carpeted right now but i would like to replace it with something that would not absorb water and stay damp.had a ss back in the 70's and it had a sort of rubberized fabric on the gunwales.i know i can depend on you...

    forming a radius with plywood for boat apholstery panels

    anyone have a process for foming some 1/4'' ext. plywood for side panels on my boat apholstery? i was going to steam the panels with hot water and clamp to the desired radius.

    filling some scratches (dock rash) and filling in old and not used canvas snaps .

    was going to fill in some minor scratches on my aluminum supersport and fill in some old snaps.was thinking of using something like a auto finishing putty but in a marine grade. any suggestions on a product to use?

    pulled the boat and going to fog the motor before it goes to sleep for the winter.should i leave the vro line connected to the motor all winter?if not what should i do? thanks

    roll& tip painting a aluminum lapstreak boat

    have a starcraft ss which i am planning to paint.all the instructions and info says to roll on vertical and tip horizontal.has anyone run into a problem rolling up against the ribs with the roller (running) before tipping with the brush?any tips on your completed paint job would be welcomed...

    1985 evinrude 50 hp. vro

    bought a evinrude 50hp vro that runs smooth and strong, idles fine and starts quick. every once in a while the warning horn will sound when starting for a about (1) second or (2) and then stop.usually after sitting for a couple of days.after that it never does it the rest of the day.here...

    1985 starcraft ss windshield removal

    going to re-upolster the boat and remove windshield and both sides of the dashboard. how are they fastened and will i expearance any problems re-assembling them? was going to have them done and i don't want the boat sitting outside while he does the job. can anyone offer ideas?
