    Trouble launch and loading boat

Can't be. In 1980 OMC went to a different Gearcase, where the Water Inlets were further back on the Gearcase. The Cases aren't swappable as the Shift Linkage is different.

    Prop Swap opinions...

Is that 4500rpm, fully loaded or lightly loaded? A 22ft is asking a lot of a 4.3, even a 5 liter. Even if you underprop it noticeably, the Hole Shot is still gonna be less than neck snapping. To me you are already close to being over propped and a 3 blade 17 might be a better choice, that will...

I do like having Air that isn't full of Unburned Fuel, Carbon Monoxide, and Oxides of Nitrogen, and I suspect the EPA clamped down further Increases of those being introduced into the Watersheds.

    2 stroke longevity?

Far fewer Parts in a 2 stroke to fail/wear. There are tens of thousands of 2 Stroke Motors from the 50s still running, and have never been apart. I doubt that in 20 yrs there will be many of the current 4 Strokes still running, the original Powerheads

"Runner V" ????? You say the Ramp shallows out. Your Trailer is lower at the Front when hitched to your Tow Vehicle, so maybe you are trying to back the Boat Uphill when coming off the Trailer, if the Ramp is really Flat. Raising the front of the Bunks and the Rollers forward of it, might...

Trailer is way too small for that boat, and that is putting the Hull at risk of Deformation.

If you're wondering if your anti siphon valve is stuck, or clogged, here's a test....

The one on my Boat was stuck closed when I took it out the First Time. Engine had been run from a Separate Tank at the Dealer during Prep. That Valve no longer exists in my boat

Well the Exhaust Tuner in the Midsection is a different Part #. Same goes for the Exhaust Housing Adapter(might have something to do with the Tuned Exhaust)

    Prop change on my bowrider

I would try a 3 blade 21. I suspect with the Gearing on a 4.3, it probably came with a 21, but the previous Owner wanted better Hole Shot, and stuck 19 on it

    Retaining ring on1975? Johnson

If you are referring to a 20hp, it is basically the same as an 18hp. It was made well into the Late 70s.

That Mixture Adjuster, only adjusts the Idle Mixture. As other have said, it appears to be a Case of Dirty Carb(s), however. Is the Spark on each Cylinder, strong enough to jump a 3/8" Gap? If you clean the Carbs, once they are Reinstalled, you will have to so a Check of, and perhaps Adjust...
