    Another job for JB weld???

Yup, seen it happen a few times. If you service your impeller every few years, you clean that cavity at the same time. Most don’t know that.

Removing gas from an old sportfish while in the water?

I wouldn’t worry about it till it’s on the hard. Heck of a lot easier to do then. Depending on how much fuel you have, you could simply use 55 gallon drum and pump it into that with a small electric pump. Done a few myself.

    Another job for JB weld???

That crack won’t affect anything, it the drain hole for the cavity. grind it out a tad and jb. Drain the oil and pressure check the drive to make sure there is no other damage.

Peanut butter, and a handful of bird seed thrown on for good measure.

    Must be cold...

Even up here on Chequamegon bay on Lake Superior, when the storms hit, the logs, slab wood, and other debris gets ripped up from the bottom of the lake. back in the day there were massive sawmills on the shore around the bay. They would have log rafts also from the foresters and those still to...

    rodent infestation

I built a wood box with a slide open top, put a rat trap inside. The opening was just big enough for them to get about half way in. Nailed around six of them. Haven’t had an issue since.

    marine formula debond

5200 is a bugger to remove Reguardless. It’s had its issues at the shop, sometimes it never dries and other times it’s dang near impossible to remove. We don’t use it much anymore. 4200 or 4000 has been reliable for us. Depending on the application we also use lifeseal for stansions and such...

    Pump themed anchor

Looks good! I’ve seen people use a bowling ball, yes that doesn’t work well as it just slides across the bottom. Yours has a way of grabbing the bottom. Around here it’s not uncommon to get snagged on branches or logs making it difficult to get it out. But the only anchor I’ve ever lost is when...

Can I buy a trailer online?

Buy local. A friend bought one online and it arrived looking ok. After a month it was surface rust all over it. He inquired about that and they said it comes with primer paint only, you have to paint it the color you prefer! I bought mine from the local L&M fleet, powder coated and it’s been...

Trail camera issues fixed, now pics from them ...

I don’t have a cam like that but even if I did, it wouldn’t matter. The deer don’t come around when I’m there, they come around at night. Ugh.

    Must be cold...

Yeah, 4* f right now, preparing to go down to my son’s place 130 miles south of here. Maby be warmer there as it’s closer to the equator?

Jeez! What happened to global warming

Gee, when I was burning wood I would go through around 15 cords every winter. It’s 4* f right now here in northern Wisconsin. The furnace is working perfectly for now.

Alpha 1 Gen 2 - leak & transom service questions

Pretty much how mine looked. Once I pulled it down it was obvious. it certainly wouldn’t hurt to replace the gasket just for peace of mind. As others have mentioned, the Y pipe could be it also, or your transom is compromised. As far as the mercathode, I don’t know, mine didn’t have one.

Alpha 1 Gen 2 - leak & transom service questions

When you drop the manifold it should be pretty easy to see if it is the gasket. Mine was cracked, but if it’s squished out or such you should be able to spot it.

Alpha 1 Gen 2 - leak & transom service questions

Have you checked the gasket on the trim manifold at the bottom of the gimbal housing? That’s where I found my leak just like that. I had enough room to remove the lines after I unbolted it from there. Really Not to bad of a fix.

Trail camera issues fixed, now pics from them ...

Hope they get in trouble for that, it’s the same as hunting with an airplane and telling one’s on the ground where the deer are at. Totally illegal around here!

Trail camera issues fixed, now pics from them ...

Around here there is a guy that helps recover deer. But if he spots them still alive after being shot he can’t disclose the location, it’s illegal to do that for harvesting them. If they are down and expired then he can lead the customer to them. He also assists with lost pets and humans Along...

Boat is put away for winter. What to do every day ?

I should have been more clear, if I do road hunt it’s in the national forest, no private property. And I never shoot from the road, that’s not legal. I look for signs of where deer cross and such, get out and lock up the vehicle and get out and slowly move the the forest. I’ve gotten deer that...

Boat is put away for winter. What to do every day ?

17” , plow plugged the driveway again. I don’t get mad at them but it sucks. Still have to get out to the hunting blind, probably take it down as where it’s at is more than likely a whole lot more snow and the deer are not going to come around that area anymore. If they have been there I might...

Boat is put away for winter. What to do every day ?

As I debate weather to go hunting or do the snowblower today. Got 6” last night from no snow and several more inches on the way.
