    Yes , but I think that whatever you are using to take the image is making things look curved ....more so towards the edges ....dunno what its called (jimmbo?). The top and bottom of the wooden frame dont appear to be parallel but Im sure they are 🙂

    I got a bit lucky ,the original shaft was 1 inch and the aliexpress shaft was 26mm so I turned a bit of dia off the end so it would press into the yoke....and happily the extra .6mm was how much the original bushes had worn so the whole thing fitted together pretty good .

    Looks like your all over this motor 🙂, you should have a manual , honestly a PDF of the manual will be the best value for money you could spend fixing up this motor 🙂. I assume the king pin is the steering pivot shaft and bushes. I replaced mine , got a 500mm bit of stainless tube off...

    Do you mean actually break down compostingly or just disintegrate . The stuff I got last about 3 hrs in water and then its mush . We do terrible things to our tank , not really intentionally . Soft food waste gets stuffed down the plug hole in kitchen sink .....after the fat from last fry up ...

    I have used sacrificial sinkers but only in 4-600m deep to massively expedite the drop. Usually a foot long bit of broken axle with a hook welded on one end, idea is to hook axle weight over normal 10oz lead sinker on end of ledger rig and when it hits the bottom the axle sinker unhooks...

    Loctite goes like that outside the joint when its old and dry . Depends on how much /good the other crank is . That gash is a stress riser ( like how you cut glass ) ........I wouldnt use it tho , if it lets go it will most likely take a good portion of the rest of the motor with it . Next time...
