    Side Bunk Placement

Skill level has something to do with it. I think the side bunks on mine couldn’t be positioned much better but my better half usually runs over them at least once when she loads.

Can I buy a trailer online?

Definitely worth shopping around different dealers. The two I talked to about buying a trailer were about an hour and a half drive from me in different directions. The dealer I bought the boat from is about 10 hours away (local for me when I bought it). Bear built my trailer but wouldn’t sell...

Can I buy a trailer online?

Oh yeah, The dealer I bought the boat from set up the trailer wrong (boat was sitting on the floor when I bought it). The bunks weren’t supporting the transom and the straps and the transom saver wouldn’t fit right. I didn’t figure it out until I had to rig the new trailer. The same dealership...

Can I buy a trailer online?

Some of the dealers are scammers. I had a boat trailer stolen at the boat ramp while out fishing. I spent the next day looking for a new trailer. One boat dealer wanted $2500 for a new trailer. Another offered the same trailer to me for $1500 if I didn’t mind picking it up at the factory. $1750...

    Decompression valve

I have never encountered one on a boat. Engines I have encountered them on all had a lever to release the compression but those were on motorcycles, a big chainsaw and my atv. They could all be painful if a person forgot to flip the lever first.

So if cutoff like that in heavy traffic, it will automatically brake check the person behind you? I don’t see that as a positive since a lot of drivers seem to like to tailgate too. Not to mention the increased potential for a road rage encounter.

I frequently get passed by people who think their rear bump must be within 10 feet of my front bumper when they return to the lane I am in… even if we are the only two vehicles in sight. How does the automatic braking and adaptive cruise control handle that situation?

That would be because work that used to be commonplace simply isn’t common anymore. I understand what you are saying but I did way more work on the 1977 T-Bird I owned back in the day during the 6 years and 60,000 miles I owned it than I have had to do to my 2008 F150 in 248,000 miles. My F150...

What needs to happen is everyone needs to write their Congressmen and ask them why they voted to implement some expensive safety features and/or haven’t limited what the automakers are forcing onto us. Remind them not everyone makes as much money as they do then ask them what the plan is for...

They are turning cars into “white elephants”. Great to get initially. Impossible for many to keep.

What brand of Cotton socks are still good quality ?

I have been wearing Wrangler brand crew socks I buy at Walmart the last few years. They have been holding up well.

My wife wants me to sell the ‘08 F150 extended cab. I would rather fix the rusted fenders and rocker panel and keep running it. 240,000 miles. It needed an intake manifold about 100,000 miles ago due to a design flaw. The aluminum pieces in the manifold corrode, swell and break the plastic...

    Things i hate

I let my wife do the painting. The flip side of it is that I have re-insulated and resided the house mostly unassisted.

Better metallurgy, stronger designs, crumble zones, seat belts and airbags are great technological advances that save lives without diminishing people. I like ABS brakes but having that system fail on icy roads is an eye opening experience.

I agree 100% but the number if people deserving to go out that way will dramatically increase as reliance on technology increases. If checkout stands are any indication, it doesn’t seem like anyone under 40 can do simple math anymore. I don’t really have a problem with technology. My first...

I’m 59 and was a farm kid. I have driven several. The technology only makes it worse. Look at the morons crashing Teslas with auto steering because they thought drive time was nap time. The more technology takes over the more stupid and ineffective we will become as a species.

I’m 59 and thinking my next truck should be an early seventies at the newest 3/4 ton with a modern engine. 8-10 mpg and 100,000 miles was about the best you could hope for with the original drivetrain so some upgrades are warranted. I dislike key fobs and pretty much anything that supports...

Yeah, I noticed they did not have the 2026 manuals in the website yet. I was hoping the video on that page would help you locate it. I read something that made me think the vehicle didn’t come with a printed manual either but I could have misread it or that info was incorrect. After reading up...

I would expect a procedure like I had to use to disable the seat belt alarm and the self locking doors to be buried in the owner’s manual.
