    Fuel delivery

I seem to be having a fuel "delivery" problem- 2006 MPI 350/5.0, bravo lll. Short recap, boat seldom used over 3 years and started to get it back to the water. 320 hours. Pumped out and desposed of 75 gallons of fuel. Water and some crap in the fuel and that was pumping out through the fuel...

    Fuel pump

I pulled all the fuel out with an electric pump until it drew air...I dunno....beyond me I guess on this one. Probably simple but I don't have this sort of experience I guess.

    Fuel pump

So...boat sat for some time, about 3 years. Definitely had bad fuel so I got it all out and fresh fuel in. Had done a tune up prior to its rest and really ran well. New filters after I got all the fuel out. I had been cycling the fuel pump looking at the fuel condition prior to figuring out I...

    Fuel pressure

There is no way to get to the 100 gallon tank. Some access through the fuel sender plate but the generator sits on to p of that..

    Fuel pressure

It's hard to tell- I think my tabs also raise too which makes a heck of a racket- I have a fitting with a hose I can attach to the valve and confirm whether fuel is getting to the rail. How do I check that plug for power- I don't see any breakers tripping..also when I got it all back together...

    Fuel pressure

I'll hit the key and see if I have pressure before I crank- boat is off the hitch and get the fuel to the back of the tank. I so need to get this boat back on the water...I'll order new filters...beyond that it may be time to have someone look at it. A buddy suggested the fuel pump may have have...

    Fuel pressure

So..I thought I had a thread going on this....my boat sat for almost 3 years...with varying ages of fuel in it. So, was able to go to the ramp finally but it would not run. I put a valve on the fuel rail with a line into a bottle- hit the key and probably had 50% water and a some crap but...

    Started, died and wont restart

I was able to get sll the fuel out. I found and electric fuel pump for 15 bucks that worked well. I have new fuel but I think I have a problem with the starter or starter system. Perhaps this is what killed my battery, hopefully not the new one I just put in. After getting all the fuel out of...

    Raw water pump

Ok- pulled the hose, stuck the garden hose in, it fired right up and was pumping water no problem! So I let it run...it ran for maybe 3 minutes and then sputtered and stalled. Guess I'm still having some fuel issues...I pulled the fuel water separator and dumped that out and either seeing still...

Also, as I recall...I had to replace that power steering cooler but it seemed to have little restriction for flow through it.

    Raw water pump

Thanks...I am running muffs...I will pull the pump feed line and put the hose in it...hopefully I did not toast the impeller! I started to pull the line off the power steering cooler..that thing being made of very soft brass and I was afraid to mess it up- so I decided to crank it and see before...

    Raw water pump

I am a bravo 3 and I thought about putting a hose in it also...which is why I figured I would just put it in the water and monitor the temp...I have the strainer cover off, I can easily remove the pump supply hose and just put the hose in that hose which I think is ruffly what your...

    Raw water pump

I did a transom pull about 3 years ago, boat has sat for a couple of years after that on the trailer. All of those components were replaced, bit good suggestion!

    Raw water pump

So, have been working through some issues with fuel...I think with all the cranking,or not getting water to the pump I fried the impeller. My 350 mpi is closed cooling. For water I have the merc foot and a thru hull- both hoses go to a strainer and then to the pump. I have it home on a trailer...
