    Talking to the neighbor this morning told him we kept 20 crappies. He figures that over 250 crappies were caught in his house this winter. We kept 50 crappies this winter, gave most away have 2 bags in the freezer. Best fish is cleaned and cooked never frozen.

    Nephew and his buddy are coming up this weekend, we are going to be more mobil this time and see if we can find some active pike during the day, and sit in a fish house and crappie fish at night. Weather should be mild, hopefully the forecast hold and the winds are calm.

    They make an ice fishing live well now. You drill a hole put in the net fish are swimming, I use a minnow bucket aerator to prevent iceing over.

    After 20 years of lake boating, tried something completely different

    I was blessed, and cursed to be the first mate whenever my Dad wanted his Carver framed from Pickwick TN to Bradenton. Tell you what the thrill wears off at least for me. I prefer a simple boat over a floating RV any day.
