Installing a trolling motor on a 21ft CC

For charging, you can not connect directly to your engine system to charge. You have to put in a DC to DC converter for two reasons: 1) LiFePO4 will pull as much current(up to BMS limit) as you can give it so it would overwhelm your charging system....I recommend charging at the 50% of the max...

Installing a trolling motor on a 21ft CC

I make my own packs but I basically 3D print the case plus some aluminum plate. There are so many options out there these days, I probably won't make them anymore like this. Was a fun project...it's the reason I bought a 3D printer.

Jeez! What happened to global warming

Gotta love the science deniers that twist themselves into a pretzel to come up with some way to discredit research! Climate change makes weather more severe both, cold and hot.

    Grease Seal to Spindle Fit

what is the seal number you are using that is too big? You probably need a 470460, assuming the outer diameter is standard.. That was the seal I used for my axle spindle which is the same size as yours. That number is the same for bot Timken and National. I am guessing you are currently using...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

If you actually have someone cut you off with 10 feet spacing at 60 mph it will definitely put on the brakes as would I even without cruise control on!

Doesn’t work like that. They would have to be very close for brakes to actually be applied. Most of the time it just coasts until the gap is recovered.

I am not a fan of wet belts either. My understanding is they have gotten rid of it or are getting rid of it in th 2.7 I used to keep cars/trucks until over 200k. I can afford to buy new cars often now so I don’t bother keeping them that long I still keep very good care of them though. The...

2022 grand Cherokee. Two spark plugs per cylinder. So 16 spark plugs! Took over 3 hours. 3.5 ecoboost….30 minutes.

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

I had a 2018 3.5 ecoboost. It WAY easier than working on a V8 hemi in a recent jeep grand Cherokee. Not even close. it’s still workable from the top. They just designed to have the option to raise the cab

You can still work on it without. It’s just way easier to raise the cab and requires less hours. Not sure why this is so mind boggling to you.

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

It’s way easier to raise the cab than remove an engine. They are designed that way on purpose to make it cheaper to work on them. My 2018 Ford F-150 was easier to change belts and water pump than my 1990 Suburban….by far! I actually never had to change the water pump but I could see how easy it...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

Yep. Me too. My auto insurance is pretty stable until I add a brand new vehicle to it. 3 of my 4 vehicles are 3 years old or less. I am laughing at the “conspiracy”. My home owners insurance, on the other hand, goes up way more. That’s due to fire danger.

    hub dust cap

Overfill doesn’t always work. Even if it does, the hub is over pressurized for awhile meaning you may have already breached the rear seal. I repack every two years except one trailer which has vault hubs.

Yep. When I am towing my trailer, it puts a huge red area on the screen to show anything that is in my trailer’s side area.

That would be false as Jimmy Sexton is not Kalani Sitake's agent.

In the half tons they are. GM and Ford developed their own 10 speeds in the 3/4T and up although they started with the half ton designs and they went in different directions on the heavy duty transmissions.

You hardly feel the shifts in a 10 speed. BTW, when you drove that bronco, it skips gears 2 and 4 unless you were in sport or trailer mode. F-150s do the same.
