    Missing bolt 4.3 mercruiser

If it's spraying oil, it's most likely the oil port that should have the gauge sender in it

    Another Free Boat Project

I agree with Matt. Just give the non-profit $6-8k. Price out a ball gear kit, manifold, seal kit, upholstery, and the $3k in fiberglass and the $6k may not be enough If the boat was perfect, and I mean perfect. It has a value of $500.-$800 The drive is obsolete and parts are nearly...

Should I change prop pitch/ go to stainless.

are you running the top pickup, or a bottom pickup? what is your water pressure? I have been in many switzercrafts and hydrostreams with merc 150's and a few 225's back in the 80's and 90's. my buds '74 super hugger was also a 16' boat with a manual jack plate with a 1500. he had to run a...

Should I change prop pitch/ go to stainless.

do you have a high-speed nose and pickup on the foot? why do you need a jack plate on a 15' boat? are you racing? or running flats? because if you are running flats, a tunnel hull would be better than a V-hull, then you can run in 2" of water

Anyone still running a Berkeley Jet?

as stated, BBC's some supercharged LS motors. the PWC based jets are similar but different as you eluded to. they are designed for mass-production. Where Berkely / Jacuzzi / dominator / drake, etc. were specialty products think toyota tercell vs a hand-build vehicle.

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Ted, I think you are making the flatness harder than it has to be. Think body work or drywall work or concrete work. Large flat knife or spreader to spread the PB. While wet, use a 2x4 and float the surface. Smooth out with the spreader. As it starts to kick, hit with a large flat-board...

Need aluminum gas tank fitting recommendations

additionally, the inlet fitting is usually 1.5" for gas, and 2" for diesel. I recommend adding baffles to the tank to prevent sloshing, at least two fuel pickup locations, and a drain fitting should you need to clean it out. most aluminum fuel tanks are 0.090 or 11 gauge aluminum. all are...

    1977 Aquasport 222 Transom

repairing from the outside makes the job 4x as hard as the inside because you still have to address the flotation foam and stringers, and now you have to tie the fiberglass back up the sides of the boat about 8-10" and fair the sides and transom

inverted thread size of power trim at cylinder and trim pump to manifold block

SAE inverted flare threads if you are "repairing" the inverted flare port, there are specific cutters required.
