    Family of 5, 19ft or 21ft?

Owned a few Explorers over the years and a couple were involved in accidents ( not my fault) and never rolled one over...also owned four Pintos in my younger years, was rear ended twice with no fire. Never saw one go into reverse by itself. No doubt your stories are real, but are these more...

1973 Starcraft SuperSport 16ft. restoration questions

One reason to always help out the neighbors when ever I can, some day it will get related ! We live out in the country and everyone sort of relies on other neighbors when things go haywire. We don't often get a lot of snow, but on occasion we get clobbered. For that reason I have two blowers (...

    Lithium ion batteries

Many chargers today charge different types of batteries, all it takes is one mistake to forget what charge cycle you need. Today's batteries are much safer than just 10 years back, as many have monitoring systems builtin. Part of the LifePo4 battery design was to make them more user friendly...

    Lithium ion batteries

I researched for almost 6 months, reading reviews and talking to actual users and ended up with a TimeUSB 140ah lifepo4 battery and the charger recommended by them. Bought thru the mfgr. they met the best prices I could find anywhere. Battery was on my doorstep in 4 days. They were very...

    Lithium ion batteries

I don't have enough fingers to count the number of Lipo batteries that have caught on fire by using a ni-cad charger. And they burn white hot ! Can't put them out with water. Not all batteries have a built-in BMS. Search and you will find hundreds of stories/ articles about Lipo batteries...

    Nobody fishing?

Same in my area, but we gave a number of large factories that employ second and third shift workers. We notice boats heading in around noon time so they can get to their 2nd shift job.

No dipstick on 1989 era 3.0L?

The 9 speed auto in my 2015 Jeep has no dipstick for the trans oil. A plug must be removed then a dealer has a special probe that goes in the hole and samples the fluid then tells you when the fluid goes bad , low or needs changed. Only 128 dollars for that service at local Chrysler...

    Lithium ion batteries

LifePo4 batteries are designed for long steady draws, such as a trolling motor, or running lights, radio, accessories of every type. The hard quick draw of a starter is not ideal for the overall health of these batteries so it is not recomended. Powering inverters in travel trailers is an...

    Family of 5, 19ft or 21ft?

When people crash their boat, how does it become a liability to the mfgr ? I know, people sue for everything and the lawyers take the case. When are we gonna learn, we can't fix stupidity ?

DeWalt corded drill DW106 Type-2 keyless chuck, bits slipping out?

Make yourself a little fixture to help you grind those flats. They don't have to be perfect to work. Small, little drill bits can be a real pain, but bigger ones are not that bad.

DeWalt corded drill DW106 Type-2 keyless chuck, bits slipping out?

Easy enough to grind three equally spaced flats on the shank.

    anchor line

Surprised you got that kind of life from poly rope. I also prefer the double braid as it is much easier on the hands than twisted rope. You didn't say the cost but whatever it is, it sounds like good stuff.

    Tilt ram piston removal

If you can support the piston head itself, tap on the shaft and it should drive out of the piston head. The pins are probably used to keep shaft from turning. A press might even work better if you have access to one. Any machine or die shops around, they will probably have a press and might...

    anchor line

A lot depends on use, salt or freshwater only. Can't say I have ever worn thru an anchor line, but I only boat in fresh water and my line is stored in a locker, never left in the sun. I would ask if it is a Chinese um brand or a good quality american.
