    Yamaha/Mariner oil mix

    I have a 2hp Mariner and the repair manual says mix the oil at 50-1. This engine is Yamaha built and re badged as a Mariner. Yamaha says to use an 100-1 oil mix.     Lessen learned to day

    Learned a valuable lesson today. As to contrary belief you can start your kicker if you don't take it out of the water wile using your other boat motor. This happen to me today when i shut down my main motor and the kicker drove me into shore. Needles to say it surprised me big time. No damage...

    Is it just me or is iboats slow. I haven't been able to get on for about a week and it didn't recognize my password. In the time it took to typed this message is about the same amount of time it took for the full page to come up. Is any one else having issues. ps I am a slow typer

    Just a reminder

    If you load and unload your boat in salt water remember to wash your rear axle off. On the newer p/u with rear disk brakes the e brake backing plates will rust off in short order. Also your calipers will also seize up. I had to fix one today and its not cheep.

    How was your ride to work this morning

    My ride sucked. It was white out conditions , pitch black, bumpy ride. and the worst part was we had to get out and clean the radar of snow so we would not run ashore at 6:00 am this morning running up the inlet. ps we had no gps on the boat.
