    35 hp gearcase bearings

    ive got an 84 35hp, it was given to me with the gearcase in pieces. originally stripped the gears, but came with new ones. looking at parts diagrams, it says there are two bearings around the pinion gear(pn 0376856), but this gear case only has one. it appears there is room for two, so i wonder...

    what fuel filter do i need?

    trying to locate afuel filter for my mercruiser, but nobody around here knows the number i need. the old one has no numbers left on it. it is the spin on cartridge type, looks exactly like an auto oil filter. my engine is a '96 4.3lx, serial number 0F294871. thanks.

    mcm 4.3lx hesitation when hard on the throttle

    using small hub proop on mercruiser

    what happens if someone used a prop for a smaller outboard with a 4" gearcase on a mrecruiser alpha one? the splines appear to fit corredctly, but there is a difference in diameter where it meets the gearcase. does this cause any propblems? what about having a prop with a smaller diameter blade...

    what oil for sx outdrive?

    i,ve always run 90w gear oil in my mercruiser, but my buddy says the dealer told him he needed to run synthetic in his volvo. i believe it is a 2000 sx drive. are they full of *&^%, or is there some reason for this?

    cleaver prop on I/O

    is there any issues with running a SS cleaver prop on an i/o? i believe they are designed to run at the suface, but can i run it completly submerged? i usually run a 21" @4600, but for one week i run the boat fully loaded with four people and gear, and can only get 4200. i already have this...
