    Very easy to make … standard bolt with a tapped thread down centre. works really well .. I simply could not get impeller out without it … with it simply screws out.

    Finished the tool ... cut slots, welded on a 30mm hex nut ... so same socket can be used for front & rear props.

    My Manual (4.3 280-C-N) states 45Nm for the rear prop at 100Nm for the front prop.

    Tube cost nothing, neighbour run it off for me. so a little workbench ti e today and will have it complete. The UK price for tool was $198.

    OK … assumed different threads as in this video the guy goes to pains to explain having gearbox in forward for 1 prop and reverse for the other.

    Managed to get some EN50 pipe, from a friend ... he even turned down a portion of it to match the dimensions of the VP tool. I'll cut notches tomorrow, and weld on a 30mm nut on the rear. Simple Q ...... assuming front prop (inner) is left hand threaded nut, and rear prop (outer) is right hand...

    Thinking a standard scaffolding tube me be my option ….. will need to take rear prop off first so I can check mine ID that could be used. Standard scaffolding is 48.3mm and a 3.2mm - 4.0mm wall thickness. getting a tube with 2” ID in Europe not going to be easy

    Good news (& not so good) Volvo has agreed it's all under warranty they have approved swapping out the complete drive & Transom shield. Not so good news is .. it's a 3 month wait for parts. Realistically 3 months is fine as would not use until the start of May ..... so as long as deadline...

    Run SS props on previous boats, usually Mercury High Five. allways salt water but never moored. Never had corrosion issues. Anyway will update when I hear from dealer.
