    79 55 hp what do you think?

    found this one, and can pick up for $75 i think. waiting for answer of why the head is painted,(did it run hot?) looks like it's going to need a starter, they say it runs. i think i can get my $ back just parting it out if burnt up.

    went to put prop back on, cone is cracks so the drive pin will fall out.

    new points, condenser, coils, wires. kill wires isolated, still no fire on one coil. what did i miss. frustrating.

    Finished, ugly to a gentle lady

    finished the 1956 Duracraft, 14 ft Duraflite, with the 58 35 hp Johnson. the trailer is even vintage. the colors, i picked because there is a yacht of this vintage, at the marina these colors, and it is beautiful. the front seats are 50's solid oak bar stools, back seat oak porch swing...

    RD19 58 35 not starting

    compression 130 each, good blue spark 3/8" using a timing light spring to block. also great spark, when grounding plugs to block. manually move linkage to start position. spray fuel mix in carb. also a good dose in the cylinders. no sign of firing off. new starter is turning it over...

    got the fuel pump, by pass plate, & gasket. by pass looks identical to the the one on the motor, do i have to drill a hole in it, can't find the the manual? do i have to tap the mounting holes.. heres' some pics. looks like it would fit like this.

    58 RDE19 35 hp throttle linkage help

    appears the key is broken, of the lower part of the linkage, will not bring back to idle or take to wot. how to repair or part number. also starter is bad, got 3 cranks, and that was it. removed going to try to have rebuilt.

    almost done, a little ply in the floor and bimini, missing brackets, then get the motor as i like it. solid oak antique barstools for front, and oak porch swing for the back.

    ok, i'm considering it. will make things easier. part number of conversion kit, and source. waiting on oem manual. as all mine are below 30 hp.
