2016 H190 Aluminum to SS Prop question.

21" is probably a bit steep for your setup but I wouldn't expect it to account for 600-800 rpm lapse. You say the hole shot got better after the first time. This raises a flag. How long did it sit without being run? Was your wife using trim?

    Best prop

That horizontal plane right above your prop, as a rule of thumb, should be even with the bottom of your boat. Hard to tell exactly but yours appears to be well below that. You may actually have a long shaft motor on a short shaft transom. If this is true it has a negative affect on performance.

03 Stingray 180LX possible fuel tank leak

In mine the front floor panel had to be removed.

03 Stingray 180LX possible fuel tank leak

Is there not an access port to where the fuel sender is located? The gasket around the fitting is a common source of leak. Here's mine.

    Tiara 3300 props

Generally speaking this forum is a smaller boat forum than your Tiara. I recommend posting on The Hull Truth forum.

Hull form versus engine power and torque In maintaining a boat on plain

Good idea to have more than one prop. Go with low pitch on heavy load water sports days and switch to higher pitch on lighter load cruising days. When you have all the tools at hand to remove/install can be done in 5 minutes.

    Towable recommendation

Try it first without the ball thing. The ski tow eye on your Bryant may be high enough out of the water you don't need it.

    Towable recommendation

Don't overbuy. Those things can be tough to handle and deal with if too large. Hard to store, hard to lift, longer to inflate. Only buy to the minimum of what you need imo. The flat "tubes" are fun while on anchor in addition to while being towed. Looking back I think the kids enjoyed the...

Hull form versus engine power and torque In maintaining a boat on plain

A 16' with a V4 probably two batteries in the back and gas tank positioned toward the back and with only about 14 feet of planing surface in the water is a difficult set up to keep on plane at slow speeds. Trim tabs would help greatly. But then you run into interference with boarding ladders...

5.0 mpi stalls for a sec randomly at idle

I don't see any gear lube in your bottle.

    Adjusting Trim Tab

I believe this is right. I told you wrong above. So try it in a 1 o'clock or 2 o'clock position. I'm trying to remember back to my outboard days. I do remember trim made a big difference. The goal is get the wheel steady when you're at normal cruising speed and trim setting.

    Adjusting Trim Tab

The geometry of this situation is hard to discuss in text but here goes. If you mean when letting go of the wheel the boat wants to turn right then adjust your trim fin so that it pulls the trailing end of your motor back to center. That would mean when standing behind the motor turn the fin...

    Simplest 2 Battery Setup?

In my 30 years of bowrlder boating I have never ran down a starting battery. I buy cheap (Walmart, Advance Auto) marine group 24 cranking batteries. Now to be fair I don't run amps or any other electrical accessories. I keep two on board. One connected and one stored unconnected. I never let...

    Are Adhesive Keel Guards Effective?

Echo this. Mine has held up, and still looks well attached knock on wood, for 12 years. For extra strength you could run a bead of 4200 around it if you wish. I haven't done that but if I ever see it starting to come loose that is what I will do to buy time. Again, as JAS says, prep and...

    reversing with trim tabs

I haven't noticed any difference with my smart tabs. Now I suppose if you had to run hard in reverse, as in an emergency avoidance maneuver, you could break the brackets.

Losing Power - After two hours

Coupler is where I was heading from the get go but then he said, if I'm understanding him right, the rpms jump to 5000 which is beyond his throttle setting. How could that happen? I'm not a tech but that I find bizarre.

I think the 4000 is current. I'd go with the 4000.

Boat Doesn’t Want To Turn Left

Remove the cable from the motor and see how both the cable and the motor move independent from each other. Try to isolate the problem.

Losing Power - After two hours

To those who know more than I could this be a bad coupler? I was thinking the drop wouldn't indicate coupler but what if it was triggering an overheat when it revved?
