    Prop suggestions please

A 9.9 pushing a 21 pontoon would, most likely, require lowest pitch possible which looks like 7 inches according to iboats prop finder. But to really tie it down you need to gather information first. Many, many threads on this site to take you through this process.

    Considering '13 Bayliner 215

Go outboard if you can. The maintenance on the I/O gets tiresome and pricey.

Not sure what you are talking about. Can you include a pic?

    5.0 mph belt routing

Sometimes the tensioner can seem like its loose all the way but its not. It can kinda bind. Use a 5/16 deep socket on it. Sorry, not questioning you. Just stating my experience.

    Exhaust Bellows

No more than with the bellows attached. Think about it...at rest with engine off water is consistently occupying the Y-pipe inside the boat, level with the water outside the boat with either bellows or tube. Now I have heard the argument that if you slip your boat or beach a lot the tube may...

Boat mooring in rocky areas (aluminum boat)

But how do you get back in the boat? Also I don't understand the OPs sentence..."Bumpers feel like they might work in all cases". Check out Keelshield for aluminum boats.

    Mercrusier 5.0 MPI (2008) RPM stops @ 3200.

I read that too that's why I didn't suggest it. I change mine on my MPI about every two or three years now that the internet has made me aware of the issue. Easy job and not pricey. I will say however my original one lasted 15 seasons and 1000 hours before needing replacement, go figure.

Bell housing to outdrive gasket protruding

Think I figured it out. You mean prior to install sand the bead. Gotcha. I'll be doing this for a buddy soon so wanted to be prepared. I've done mine several times and never had it pop out but evidently it's an issue. Goes without saying I suppose but ya gotta take the six nuts in slow...

Just curious, when you attempt to go past 3200 what happens?

    Single point drain winterization

Nice work Lou. I've just been biting the bullet and dissembling it all as it was built but not sure how much longer I"m willing to tolerate it all at my age. Sorry I left my portable toilet in the pic.

    Single point drain winterization

Access is the problem. Had engine builders worked with boat builders in designing interiors that were more mechanic friendly maybe the I/O would still have life left in it. For example why not make the panels on each side of the engine folding and attached with buckles or some sort of quick...

    Single point drain winterization

This is what I do also. I've owned this system new since 2002. I pull the quick disconnects on each side of the block and poke the holes. Some years I will pull a few hoses and poke them also. Never found a block. Now to be fair I'm 100% fresh water.

    Buying a 2021 Sylvan!!

Fenders: Buy the largest storage will allow. I hate it when boaters drag them along deployed full time. Horn: Relax your factory horn will be sufficient.

New to me 2015 350 mag, any more maintenance items?

Probably. Mine is a small white filtery/foamy looking thing. As they age with use they turn black. If yours isn't gunked up you're fine to leave it. But as cheap as it is I replace yearly. Amazing the trouble they can cause if not attended to over time.

New to me 2015 350 mag, any more maintenance items?

Replace IAC muffler. Also, you said props so assume it's a Bravo 3? Look... I know it's expensive but buy, and/or build, a drive dolly and check alignment yourself. Shops say they do it, my experience? They never do it. It takes two guys and bunch of time. If it's halfway close they shove...

    Bow plowing at high speed.

Prop gurus are always talking about bow lifting vs stern lifting props. Can't tell exactly what yours is but you might post it on the prop forum and ask what it's characteristics are. It may be that a prop noted for its bow lifting properties could help. Just a thought.
