    Suggestions for replacement floor covering

Yep, bare feet or those water shoes, no tools, don't own a dog and the wife keeps my toe nails trimmed so I don't cut her up in my sleep.

    Suggestions for replacement floor covering

I was considering something like this instead of marine carpet on my entire deck. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P9YBWLX/?coliid=I2RLCY09I22WHM&colid=1ERKDS7FQIA5O&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

    Installing a new asphalt driveway

Concrete will usually always cost more than asphalt. Best to call your local companies to get prices. We layed a cement slap for someone where they parked their vehicles. He didn't have a garage and worked on his vehicles all the time. He didn't want the floor jack or jack stands slowly sinking...

    Installing a new asphalt driveway

The rain at least helped find the low spots that need to be raised for proper run off. Here in the north we don't have easy access to lime rock. Even if we did we wouldn't use it. Lime dissolves especially with acid rain. Up here we use hard pack under asphalt and concrete. Installing drains...

Spar Varnish or Urethane for Deck Rails and Trim?

You could even wipe on mineral oil or baby oil. If you prefer an apply once hard finish use the poly. "Spar varnish and spar urethane are two very different compounds. The main difference between the two is spar varnish will eventually chip or chalk off over time, while spar urethane will...

Spar Varnish or Urethane for Deck Rails and Trim?

I've been doing woodworking most of my life. My choice would be the teak oil especially if you are putting it on teak wood. Spar varnish or spar polyurethane (basically exterior for UV protection)? All varnishes will slightly yellow the color of the wood. Polyurethane tends to stay clear...

Drilling gunwales for flush mount rod holders?

I have an old Glastron fiberglass which has some things mounted to the gunwales. Some are lose and there are a few empty screw holes. I can reach under most of the gunwhales so I'm planning on backing them with extra support. I wouldn't trust too much material being taken away from the structure...

    Fishfinder help...

Not really. I get your point. Just thought that if the fish finder had more bells & whistles than I was actually looking for and when new it cost more than $2,000 and I can get it for under $300 it might serve me okay at finding fish? I mean it still finds fish, which is basically all I need...

    Fishfinder help...

I found a Humminbird 1198C SI GPS Combo used for cheap that supposedly works. I realize it's an older model but the price is right and has all the bells & whistles. Any thoughts on the unit/model? I'm a bit nervous buying used electronics especially since I can't test on the water for a long...

    Fishfinder help...

I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos on fish finders. It seems all 3 sonar/imaging plays well together. Side imaging seems it would be helpful for fishing such things as the shallows were I can't safely get my boat too.

Any clues to what these are?

Taking a shot in the dark here but they could be bases for some kind of liquid soap dispensers.

What advice on renting a room out?

I had a bad experience and would NEVER do it again. Rented a bedroom with whole house rights to a young couple that was friends with my daughter. They brought home a puppy and it went to the bathroom all over the place and they weren't quick cleaning it up. They didn't take it outside often...
