hi, recently posted topic ,on this so not sure where to start so , my 175 was running ok then it seems that out of no where i am running about 5200 rpm to my spot ,it missed a little slowed down then took off ok then stoped for awile ,went to take off could not get up on step infact could not get over 1800 rpm, brought to shop ,.has had all the electronics changed and tested, mechanic said every thing checked out ok except (tps)set to specs did not fix problem,he said that i had some parts missin from efi a filter under cowl and soms trash may have got in injectors ,and said it would be more than it was worth to fix efi, susested that i convert to carbs ,is this something i should do ,what are pros & cons, or should i look into fixin the efi system, this is a certified merc dealer any input would be helpful . Than :) ks

I would get a second opinion from someone who knows how to work on an EFI engine.

If I go to a surgeon and he says my leg has to come off he might be right but I want to hear it from another doctor before I'll go under the knife.

hey ! found the problem it is a simple fix but very expensive , thanks for the encouragement ,brought it back to the dealer that first looked at it and had him put it overboard and he did more testing and found out my computer was fried not opening up the fuel swaped the ecu with one he had at his shop it pushed 4200 rpm against the trailer , ecu is very expensive to replace , C.B. :)
