I think that hue of blue looks like 1950-60's Feathercraft blue anodizing...... Which I really like, so yeah, I like your bahama blue....
Depending on the look you're going for, a small wooden strip along that edge might do the trick. You could run a kerf along the backside, so it covers the actual edge of the metal..........
Or a 3/4" flat stock aluminum could be riveted down w/ a 1/8: reveal over the dash's edge to hid it....
That place ^^^ carries quite a few styles/types/grades of aluminum...
