I have an issue with my fuel tank. 1st off it (did) work i had a leak from the o-rings in the fitting so i decided to just go ahead and rebuild the whole thing. i did the o-rings in the fitting the gasket and diaphragm in the the tank cleaned everything up real good. To my surprise the inside of the tank has 0 rust in it. I put it all back together and now it is not priming at all when i push the primer button i mean nothing i am getting no fuel whatsoever going into the line. I took it all apart again yesterday to look to see what it could be....nothing as far as i can tell. I looked at all i could...the lines are clean i can blow air right through the fitting is clear the check valve in the tank is working and not stuck. I even tried to hook it up to the motor and fire it up to get pressure in the tank to see if maybe it would get some fuel under pressure.....nothing the motor shut down after it used up the fuel in the carb. I checked the tank to see if it built up pressure and it did but no fuel the line was dry as a bone. It has to be something i overlooked or missed or did wrong putting it back together. the primer did used to work just fine it make the clonking noise when i pushed it now no noise when i push the button and no fuel. Im getting kinda bent out of shape about this tank thing i was planing on going fluke fishing with my son today being thats its fathers day but its not looking good so far. I hope someone has an idea on what could be the issue here and i want to thank everyone in advance who has some input. I really would like the keep the motor stock but im kinda leaning towards the fuel pump conversion at this point.
