Re: 1959 Whitehouse
I just checked USCG and it appears that Whitehouse never established a HIN. They might have been gone by the time HIN's became mandatory so that would explain the Californina Homebuilt CFZ. That might have happened when the boat was registered in Nevada. My guess is that it needed the HIN before they could get it registered. I wonder what the original registration said, guess I'll never know.
I can't wait to show you the transom on this thing. When I first looked at it I thought wow, this thing it shot but when I got to looking at it I realized it was steam molded plywood and then glassed. It's curved outward and I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be that way, LOL... I'm going over tomorrow after I get off the lake and see what I'm in for as far as getting this thing back home. Snow is just a matter of days away so getting it out of here now is probably not going to happen. I have a storage space and I can either leave my Jetcraft here and not use it this winter or leave a 100.00 boat in 150.00 a month storage space for five or six months. Or.... I could just do like the other guy did and throw a tarp over it and let it sit where it is. Guess which way I'm leaning... Ha..
